The Farm

Welcome to the Farm!

All of Lebeau & Joe's RSO CBD products are derived from our fully licensed, 6 acre hemp farm in south eastern Massachusetts. Our parent company East America Trade Co. LLC, which is the legal name for the farm, is comprised of the same core group of people responsible for bringing you all of our great products. We are truly a farm to table company, from seed acquisition all the way to product labeling and packaging we do it all in-house.

It all Starts with Great Genetics

The first step to building a great product is to start with great genetics. We diligently hunt down the perfect phenotypes for our region to ensure the highest level of success through our grow season. Choosing phenotypes naturally resistant to molds and fungi allows us to successfully deliver the cleanest possible products.

The Process

Maintaining entirely organic practices, our operation begins in our 3200 square foot greenhouse where we carefully hand plant every seed in individual containers. Maintaining the perfect climate throughout the entire propagation stage, we grow beautiful, healthy seedlings.

Once the seedlings pass our standards for heartiness it is time to transplant them to the field. We use a waterwheel transplanter and every single seedling is placed into the earth by hand.

Once the seedlings are all transplanted the fun begins. We watch over the plants as they grow, meticulously inspecting for any signs of parasites, mites, molds or any other invasive entity that may harmfully effect the plants. We don't generally see any malicious pests due to the fact that we don't use any pesticides. Pesticides not only kill the bad pests but they kill the good bugs as well. We have a plethora of beneficial organisms through out our entire farm. These include lady bugs, dragon flies and praying mantis (pictured below)

The process of inspection, defoliating (by hand) and maintaining the plants continues for the entire growing season until we end up with big, beautiful, mature 100% female plants all heavy with flower. (pictured below) That's when we begin the long process of harvesting!

HARVEST

Harvest is just as, if not more, important as the entire grow season. Harvest techniques can either make or break your crop. This is why we use a very methodical and detailed approach to our harvest. It is extremely time consuming and very labor intensive but in the long run is worth every second because it ensures our crop and therefore our products are the very best they can be.

We start by hand harvesting with sheers. This ensures that we can pick the most mature plants first and let the others catch up during the harvest period. Also this ensures that the plants stay clean (never hitting the soil).

We then take those plants and break them into sections to be hang dried. One by one we put the plants on the line until the job is done. The plants are then slow dried over the course of 4-10 days to ensure that we retain as much of the terpene profile and cannabinoids as possible.

Finally, once the flower is dry to our standards, we hand buck all the flower from the stem and prep for extraction!
